One Edmonton Shop for Fleet Maintenance, Inspections, and Repairs

Keeping a fleet moving often means handling more than one issue at a time. A truck may be due for maintenance, need a repair, or fail an inspection. Another unit may need diagnostics while a trailer needs attention somewhere else in the schedule.

rTech HDR helps bring that work together, so you can manage maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs through one experienced team.

Our Greater Edmonton fleet services include:

  • Preventive maintenance
  • Fleet maintenance management
  • CVIP inspections
  • Heavy-duty diagnostics

For fleet managers, the benefit is simple.

You have one team that can help across more of the maintenance and repair workload.

Fleet Service Built Around Keeping Your Operation Moving

Managing a fleet means staying ahead of repairs, inspections, maintenance, and the unexpected problems that can take a unit off the road.

rTech HDR works with Edmonton fleets to help manage that workload through one experienced heavy-duty team. From preventive maintenance and CVIPs to diagnostics, repairs, trailers, and ongoing service planning, we help keep your units ready for work.

Whether you manage a handful of trucks or a growing commercial fleet, rTech HDR can become the service partner your operation relies on.

Fleet Maintenance Services

Trailer Maintenance and Repair

The truck is only part of the fleet. rTech also works on commercial trailers, including brake, suspension, axle, lighting, wiring, bearing, door and related repair concerns.

That gives fleet managers one more option when both the tractor and trailer need attention.

Fleet Maintenance Management

If you operate several units, keeping track of service intervals, CVIP dates and open repair concerns can become a job of its own.

rTech can help fleet managers organize upcoming maintenance and service needs so important work is less likely to become a last-minute problem.

This is especially useful when:

  • Several units are due close together
  • Trucks and trailers have different inspection dates
  • A fleet has limited spare equipment
  • Maintenance needs to be coordinated with customer work
  • Known defects need to be planned around upcoming service

The goal is not more shop visits. It is better-timed shop visits.

Preventive Maintenance

Scheduled maintenance helps catch wear before it becomes an expensive roadside problem.
rTech can help with regular service based on your fleet’s operating needs, including oil and fluid service, inspections, brake and suspension checks, tire concerns and other routine maintenance items.

The schedule should reflect how the unit actually works. A city delivery truck making frequent stops around Edmonton has different maintenance demands than a highway tractor or a truck spending its week on rough industrial sites.

Commercial Vehicle Inspections

rTech HDR is an active Alberta Vehicle Inspection Program facility.

We provide CVIP inspections for qualifying commercial vehicles and can coordinate related maintenance or repairs when needed.

For fleet managers, that makes it easier to:

  • Plan multiple upcoming inspections
  • Coordinate CVIPs with preventive maintenance
  • Deal with failed inspection items
  • Keep truck and trailer deadlines organized
  • Get clear repair information before approving work

About one week of notice is ideal when possible, but it is not a hard rule. If you are working with a tighter deadline, contact us anyway.

Mobile and Roadside Support

Not every problem happens close to the shop.

When a unit cannot easily come to rTech, mobile or roadside support may help get the issue assessed and determine the next step.

That can be especially useful when a fleet needs another repair option during busy periods or when a unit goes down unexpectedly.

Heavy-Duty Fleet Repair Services

A maintenance plan helps reduce surprises. It does not eliminate repairs.

rTech provides heavy-duty repair across major truck and equipment systems, so a fleet manager does not have to start looking for a different shop every time the problem changes.

Diesel Engine and Emissions Repairs

Loss of power, excessive smoke, warning lights and recurring engine faults can quickly affect routes and fuel use.
rTech can diagnose and repair:

  • Diesel engine concerns
  • EGR and DPF systems
  • Cooling systems
  • Exhaust systems
  • Oil and fluid issues
  • Performance-related faults

Electrical and Diagnostic Problems

Electrical issues can be some of the most frustrating fleet repairs because the symptoms may come and go.

A warning light disappears.
The unit runs fine for two days.
Then the same problem comes back during a busy shift.

rTech HDR uses dealer-level diagnostic tools to help narrow down faults and determine what actually needs repair rather than replacing parts based on a guess.

Services include:

  • Electrical diagnosis and repair
  • Starting and charging concerns
  • Lighting issues
  • Fault-code diagnosis
  • Dealer-level diagnostics
  • Intermittent electrical problems

Driveline, Transmission and Hydraulic Repairs

Noise, vibration, shifting problems and hydraulic faults can take a working unit out of service quickly.
rTech provides repair support for:

  • Drivelines
  • Transmissions and clutches
  • Hydraulics
  • Axles
  • Related mechanical systems

Brakes, Steering and Suspension

If a driver reports pulling, uneven braking, loose steering, a new clunk or abnormal tire wear, the unit should be assessed before the problem grows.
rTech provides:

How rTech Works With Fleet Managers

1. Tell Us What Is Happening

Start with the unit information and what your driver or maintenance team has noticed.

You do not need to diagnose the problem before contacting us.

Useful details include:

  • Unit number
  • Year, make and model
  • Warning lights
  • Driver-reported symptoms
  • Upcoming CVIP or maintenance dates
  • Recent related repairs
  • When the vehicle is needed back

Specific descriptions help.

2. We Assess the Unit

Depending on the reason for the visit, that may involve scheduled maintenance, inspection, diagnostic testing or mechanical assessment.  The goal is to understand what the unit actually needs before unnecessary work begins.

3. You Get the Repair Information

When repairs are required, rTech HDR documents the work and pricing. The team contacts the customer to explain what needs attention and what is required to move forward. Formal customer approval is required before parts are ordered and repair work begins.

4. We Complete the Approved Work

Once approved, rTech orders the required parts and completes the repair. If additional concerns are found, those can be discussed before extra work proceeds.

5. We Help You Plan What Comes Next

Not every maintenance concern needs to become an emergency.
When technicians notice wear that does not require immediate repair but should be watched, that information can help the fleet plan the next service visit. That is especially useful for brakes, tires and other wear items where planning ahead may prevent a future breakdown or failed inspection.

Fleet managers already have enough to coordinate.

  • Drivers
  • Routes
  • Customers
  • Deadlines
  • Equipment
  • Approvals

rTech HDR gives fleets access to maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, repairs, trailer service and parts support through one Edmonton team.

Fleet Maintenance and Repair FAQs

Can rTech HDR work with us if we already have a fleet repair provider?

Yes. You do not need to move your entire fleet to rTech. We can provide overflow support, second opinions, specialized repairs, CVIPs or backup service when your regular provider cannot take the work.

Yes. Contact the team with the unit list, required services and any upcoming deadlines. rTech can help plan appointments around shop capacity and your operating schedule.

Yes. CVIPs and planned preventive maintenance can be combined at the customer’s discretion. Mention both when booking so enough shop time can be scheduled.

For planned CVIPs, about one week’s notice is ideal when possible. Other maintenance and repair scheduling depends on the work required and current shop capacity. If the need is more urgent, contact rTech HDR and the team will let you know what can be accommodated.
